Tour Plan

Meal : Lunch, Dinner

Our representative from Emiet Tours and travel will pick you up from your Nairobi  Nairobi Hotel/ Airport and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, taking rest stops along the way to stretch and appreciate views of the Great Rift Valley.

Safari

Lake Nakuru dazzles with its birdlife but also its scenic beauty. You’ll find storks, herons, and eagles in this bountiful spot and one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhinos.

We’ll take game and bird watching drives around the lake, through the forest and over the woodland. Look for the big predators like lion, leopard, and cheetah, but also smaller wildlife in the forests like hyena, waterbuck, olive baboon, and colobus monkey.

Please note that due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.

Following the rich topography of the park, we’ll also be on the lookout for the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, gazelle, jackal, and mongoose. This is a vivid natural environment and you’ll be struck by its density and diversity.

Overnight

Dinner and Overnight at the safari Lodge or Camp of your choice.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The park is the perfect spot for a sunrise safari as the voluminous birdlife emerges into the new day. We’ll see the first rays of light touch the lake, bringing with them the early stirrings of the wildlife.

Then we’ll jump into our 4 x 4 Jeep for a scenic trip through the Great Rift Valley to nearby Lakes Bogoria and Baringo.

Lake Bogoria lies in a volcanic region which accounts for its natural geysers and hot springs, located along the banks of the lake. But the single greatest feature of this reserve is the spectacular flocks of bright colorful flamingos adorning its shores.

If you’d like, enjoy an optional sailing safari across the lake, slicing through this vibrant sea of pink.

Neighboring Lake Baringo is rich with algae on which its large flocks of flamingoes feed. The bird watching is unsurpassed, and you’ll be looking for night jars, Goliath herons, and horn ills amongst its over 400 species of avian life.

Overnight

Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Meal : Breakfast, Lunch

We’ve got a very busy day before us, so we’ll depart early for Lake Naivasha.

The Lake Naivasha area is filled with forests, extinct volcanos, waterfalls, and dramatic gorges. It’s a high-altitude, freshwater lake featuring hippos, aquatic, and birdlife.

But there’s plenty of wildlife as well – view buffalo, impala and waterbuck drawn to the lake’s shores.

We’ll lunch here and enjoy an optional sail across the lake, taking in the resident hippos.

We also offer an optional visit to nearby Hell’s Gate National Park where you can take a walking or cycling safari past the peacefully grazing wildlife.

But now it’s time for the easy drive back to Nairobi. Over our 3-day trek you’ve enjoyed many lakes, lots of wildlife and probably thousands of birds, including the always dazzling flamingoes.
